Cinny, American Black Bear

Cinny became an official permanent resident of Black Pine as of May 2020. The Ohio Department of Agriculture confiscated her from a private owner who used her to train hunting dogs. Since arriving at BP, the team has taken time to allow Cinny to feel safe for the first time in her life. In spring of 2025, supporters of BP were able to rebuild her a brand-new platform where she likes to spend her days off the ground, sunbathing and snoozing. It has taken years for Cinny to know that true relaxation means, finally trusting that her home at Black Pine is just that – HOME.
