Animal Champion Sponsorship
Become a champion for your favorite resident!
Black Pine’s newest sponsorship program will allow you a unique opportunity to care for your favorite animal!
Animal Champions will have their name on the habitat of their sponsored animal at Black Pine and will be known as that animal’s champion for the year! Champions receive a photo of their resident, a certificate of sponsorship and an invitation for a private tour. Champions help cover the costs of their resident’s food, enrichment and supplements annually. We have several opportunities to choose from, based on your love for one of our residents. All sponsorships are tax deductible!

Become a
Big Cat Champion
Black Pine constantly looks for new ways to enrich the lives of our big cats. We go through about 500 lbs. of meat every week – mainly being fed to our big cats. Will you help us continue to support the mental, physical and emotional health for the big cats that call Black Pine home?

Become a
Bear Champion
Black Pine hosts black bears each from different circumstances. Please help us provide these bears with updates to their habitats, enrichment and salmon to last them the season!

Become a
Wolf Champion
Minco and Karma are very special residents here at Black Pine. Unfortunately, these wolves experience more stress than most animals here at the sanctuary. Help us provide them with more privacy and enrichment!

Become a
Field Animal Champion
Okay, we get it…. these are not exotic animals, per say. But they need refuge regardless! Please consider becoming a Champion of a field animal today and help us give them the care they deserve.

Become a
Small Cat Champion
While these small cats might be considered “small” their personalities are not! Providing enrichment is a crucial part of a successful sanctuary experience. Become a Small Cat Champion today to help cover the cost of care these remarkable residents.

Become a
Primate Champion
Black Pine provides refuges to a variety of primate residents. Several of our monkeys had their teeth removed by previous owners due to “aggression issues” – this means we have to steam all their veggies before meals. Primates are smart and need extra enrichment to keep them busy. Will you become a Primate Champion?

Become a
Fox Champion
Foxes are one of the most frequently kept animals as exotic pets. Their private owners quickly realize that fox odor, spraying and their digging habits do not make for good pets. Home to red and arctic foxes, Black Pine provides a permanent home to meet the needs of these special animals. Become a Fox Champion today!

Become a
Little Guy Champion
These “little guys” each have unique personalities, preferences for enrichment and their individual diet needs. With fascinating natural histories and backgrounds these residents are some of our most interesting. Please consider being a Champion for them today!

Become a
Bird Champion
With brilliant coloration and magnificent bite force, parrots can be a challenging animal to keep in a home environment. Often being passed around before finding refuge here at Black Pine, these residents each have their own personalities, diet preferences and favorite enrichment. Consider becoming a Bird Champion today to help keep them happy and healthy now that they’re home!

Become a
Reptile Champion
From snakes to tortoises, geckos to a 12ft long alligator, these reptiles require specific and specialized care. Many individuals are not aware that reptiles are quite the commitment for your average pet owner. With long lifespans, heating and lighting requirements, dietary needs and more, reptiles are some of most frequently requested animals to be rehomed at rescues and sanctuaries. Please become a Reptile Champion today!
