Chu, Kinkajou

Chu has lived with our other kinkajou, Mishka, for her whole life! Previously, she was kept as a pet and was voluntarily surrendered when her owner relocated out of state.   Kinkajous are nocturnal and are very loud animals. This makes it hard to keep around the house. They also require care that only exotic-animal-trained professionals can provide. The best way to see these critters is to attend one of our summer evening events!

What does Chu eat? Steamed Produce Mix, Protein, Commercial Biscuits

What does Chu do for fun? Miss Chu is an old lady so we try not to make her enrichment too complicated. She loves soft blankets to snuggle in and sensory enrichment. Also very much enjoys her bananas, so can never go wrong with doing extra banana enrichment, just have to be careful about her weight of course!
