Chu

Chu has lived with our other kinkajou, Mishka (RIP), for her whole life! Previously, she was kept as a pet and was voluntarily surrendered when her owner relocated out of state. Kinkajous are nocturnal and are very loud animals. This makes it hard to keep around the house. They also require care that only exotic-animal-trained professionals can provide. The best way to see these critters is to attend one of our summer evening events!

Miss Chu is an old lady so we try not to make her enrichment too complicated. She loves soft blankets to snuggle in and sensory enrichment. While we originally thought Chu would age out after the passing of Mishka (RIP), setting up a trail camera at night showed us that Chu is very much still active. When our other Kinkajou, Luna, was surrendered to us, an introduction between the duo was the sensible decision. The duo are always seen cuddling together in their hut, with Chu repositioning Luna to the best cuddle position.
